Why should you join our success story? Based on patented technology developed at MIT, Harvard Medical School and by the Company, Myomo develops and markets the MyoPro® product line of lightweight, non-invasive, powered arm braces (orthoses) to restore function in paralyzed or weakened arms and hands of individuals that have suffered a stroke, spinal cord, or nerve injury. (E.g. brachial plexus injury or other neuro-muscular disabilities.) It is the only device that, sensing a patient’s own neurological signals through non-invasive wearable sensors, can restore the ability to use their arms and hands so that they can live independently, increase their quality of life, reduce cost of care, and return to work. Published clinical research shows a clinically significant instantaneous reduction in upper extremity impairment with the MyoPro. Our technology has been referred by leading-edge rehabilitation facilities including Mayo Clinic, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Loma Linda Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, numerous VA Hospitals, and more. Myomo is headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, with sales and clinical professionals across the U.S. What we're looking for: The Talent Acquisition Specialist may provide assistance to a range of activities under the HR umbrella. Temporarily there is a need on the talent acquisition side - but particularly over time duties may generalize to HR and/or administrative tasks. This role is a full-time (40 hour/ week) temporary position, beginning with a 6-month term subject to either renewal or FTE conversion based on business need. Key responsibilities Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and review job descriptions in support of effective recruitment efforts. Provide support to job posting and requisition processes as well as recruiting operations, helping ensure a clear and accurate flow of information. Evaluate applicants' qualifications, skills, and experience to identify candidates who best meet position requirements. Provide an efficient, high-touch candidate experience throughout the application, interview, and offer stages of the hiring process. Coordinate and schedule interviews as needed, preparing agendas and liaising between hiring managers as well as candidates when appropriate. Collaborate with HR leadership and hiring managers on offers, providing compensation input and market insights to support competitive and aligned decisions. Facilitate the offer process, conducting and documenting reference, background, and licensure checks as required prior to the new hire's start date. Remain current on employment laws and ensure compliance with EEOC and other applicable requirements. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives that support broader HR team goals. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of the HR department. Skills, knowledge and expertise Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. 4+ years of Human Resources background; some experience with recruitment or talent acquisition preferred. Previous experience in medical device, biotechnology, healthcare, or similar preferred. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with equally strong candidate assessment and evaluation abilities. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach.
