Amentum is currently seeking for a Maintenance Trade Helper to support a government contract based in Kings Bay, Georgia. POSITION SUMMARY Assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill, such as keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools; cleaning work area, machine, and equipment; assisting journey-level worker by holding materials or tools; and performing other unskilled task as directed by craftsperson or pars of a trade that are also performed by workers on a full-time basis. The kind of work the helper is permitted to perform varies from trade to trade. In some trades the helper is confined to supply, lifting, holding materials and tools, and cleaning working areas. In others, they are permitted to perform specialized machine operations. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Verifiable vocational training or one (1) year verifiable experience working in the field of construction or facilities maintenance and repair. Must be able to follow written or verbal instructions. Must possess a valid state driver’s license Must have and wear hard-toed safety shoes which meet ASTM F2413-05 standards. Successful candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must continually meet eligibility requirements for access to all areas of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. Physical Requirements Walking: Frequent Standing: Frequent Climbing: Working up to 35 feet Will be working from height’s 6’ to 200’ off ground. Will be working in confined spaces. Stooping/ Bending: Frequent Crawling: Occasional Lifting: Up to 50 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment will be required. Required Tools Crescent wrench (15/16 In./24mm and 1-5/16 In./34mm) Channel locks (two pair) Basic Screwdrivers( Philips, Slotted, etc.) Basic Hammer Combination Wrench Set (up to 7/8" and 24mm) Tape Measure (25ft) Hacksaw 9" Torpedo Level Tool Bag OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Safety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. As appropriate, each employee is responsible for completing all training requirements and fulfilling all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks, and serving on safety committees and teams. Quality - Quality is the foundation for the management of our business and the keystone to our goal of customer satisfaction. It is our policy to consistently provide services that meet customer expectations.
