Why should you join our success story? Based on patented technology developed at MIT, Harvard Medical School and by the Company, Myomo develops and markets the MyoPro® product line of lightweight, non-invasive, powered arm braces (orthoses) to restore function in paralyzed or weakened arms and hands of individuals that have suffered a stroke, spinal cord, or nerve injury. (E.g. brachial plexus injury or other neuro-muscular disabilities.) It is the only device that, sensing a patient’s own neurological signals through non-invasive wearable sensors, can restore the ability to use their arms and hands so that they can live independently, increase their quality of life, reduce cost of care, and return to work. Published clinical research shows a clinically significant instantaneous reduction in upper extremity impairment with the MyoPro. Our technology has been referred by leading-edge rehabilitation facilities including Mayo Clinic, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Loma Linda Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, numerous VA Hospitals, and more. Myomo is headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, with sales and clinical professionals across the U.S. What we're looking for: The Senior IT Manager is a dedicated business partner, working closely with cross-functional departments to understand their technical needs. The Senior IT Manager will develop and execute an IT roadmap including infrastructure, security, and applications; strategies and technical plans should incorporate AI best practices. Keys to success include a developed understanding of cybersecurity principles and comfort in leading corporate trainings, technical project management skills including a track record of implementing successful migrations and/or implementations, and a strong commitment to business ethics. Highly desirable candidates for this role would see value in maintaining a strong onsite presence weekly at Myomo's HQ in Burlington. Key responsibilities Partner cross-functionally, anticipating service and security requirements as well as enhancing IT services and streamlining operational efficiency across the organization. Provide technical management and support for vital IT projects when appropriate including system migration and/or upgrades, data storage, (cloud) and access. Leverage modern tools including AI to streamline and maximize efficiencies. Develop and ensure adherence to internal controls and data privacy requirements, recommending and operationalizing best practices as appropriate. Oversee and collaborate on corporate cybersecurity efforts in accordance with company leadership. Monitor IT operational metrics, ensuring internal customer satisfaction as well as timely responsiveness to service issues and requests. Maintain an inventory of third-party vendors able to access internal and cloud-based systems, developing and maintaining qualified vendor criteria including annual SOC reports and cybersecurity insurance. Manage applicable technology vendors, ensuring performance within service level standards. Perform tests and evaluations on new software and hardware as appropriate, fulfilling ad hoc requests as needed. Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of IT hardware and software. Ensure regularly scheduled application backups of vital corporate applications. Ensure a smooth and effective IT onboarding process for new employees. Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners as needed. Skills, knowledge and expertise 7+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years of corporate or in-house experience. Previous public company background and/or experience in a regulated environment a strong plus. Proven track record of success as an IT Manager/Sr. Engineer, or other relevant leadership position. B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field; advanced degree may be a plus. Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM) a plus. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
